Bio

An award winning composer and in-demand conductor/clinician, Christopher Fox (b. 1975) is the Director of Choruses at Glenelg High School in Howard County, MD.

Hailed as “a new, bright star in the sky of choral arranging for children,” (Crocker) his compositions are distributed internationally through Alfred, Hal Leonard, Hinshaw, and Santa Barbara. He has been commissioned by such organizations as the VCDA Junior All-State Choir, Virginia Organization of Kodály Educators, Fairfax Choral Society, Penn State University, Central PA/ACDA’s Boyz Noyz, as well as several Tri-State District Honors Choirs.

In the summer of 2025, Mr. Fox was chosen for the prestigious composer’s fellowship at Opera Lucca, Italy (Puccini’s hometown). There, he premiered his micro-opera, Apollo uccide il mostro a Delfo for mezzosoprano, baritone, and piano, as well as his English art song, Love’s Philosophy for lyric soprano and piano.

Mr. Fox currently studies composition with acclaimed composer, Raphael Fusco. He received his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and his Master’s in Education from The University of Loyola, Baltimore where he also received his Kodály certification from The American Kodály Institute.

In his free time, Mr. Fox enjoys traveling with his wife, Stephanie, and his children, Lily and Porter.
